As this looks to be the date you want, I'll go for that and start planning. You won't need routebooks as we will lead you, this will be better for you so you can enjoy the sights more.

Please let me know if you will arrive together, I will meet you on or close to the M20 motorway coming up from Dover and take you to the overnight Friday hotel. You can travel on Saturday morning if you wish I can plan around that.

I will look at the hotel(s) you will need and pass the details to you.

On Sunday I recommend we go to the MG Day at Brooklands, you will enjoy this so the Run may go from east to west as it will be easier for you with less driving, if so plan on leaving Brooklands at 14.00/15.00 with a two hour drive to Dover or Folkestone.

Just returned from London, drove around the centre for a couple of days. Had plenty of time for sightseeing since traffic stood still for most of the time


Where really looking forward to this

That's very kind of it, how thoughtful, however it does that a lot but there is a small window of opportunity and that is what I try to choose as it's after the workers go home and before the theatre go-ers arrive. You have to admit that when we last done this journey, we were not troubled by traffic.

I have a few ideas that will save you travelling through the London and M25 traffic on the Friday, it will mean we start from Dartford, close to the M25, maybe where you stayed last time then we do something together on Saturday morning before starting the run to London. We stay overnight to the west of London where we will be closer to Brooklands for Sunday morning.

Some of it depends on when you arrive in the UK and when you want to leave for home. Brooklands is an option, you don't have to go but you will enjoy it if you do.

For us it doesn't matter all that much, we intent to arrive Friday afternoon or in the early evening and never leave, we love London or when you kick us out maybe Monday morning
So we have plenty time

As we would like to make the trip a bit of a holiday as well, I have planned a little extra tour before the TBT weekend (as I said, it's Easter holidays over here). Our idea is to leave on Easter Monday for a nice journey to the beautiful port of Dunkirk and then cross the Channel as quickly as possible.

to be honest, for me it's still too far away you get in more concrete details. I'm even not 100% sure I can make it....

Unfortunately I have to cancel the early bird trip, so all German people will probably also arrive on Friday. So far the following have signed up:

04: Markus + ?

which makes it 4 cars from over here. I have set a deadline until end of January for more people to enter.

On the exact time you expect us to
