i am sorry i only realized today that i was you i was talking to at mgfest.

No problem, my nickname is not the most obvious and I lacked introducing myself. That´s what happens when you get hung on the technical stuff.

now when i think of it your engine weight problem may be helped with the kit as is my extra ivtec engine weight.

What is the weight of the Vtec then Gerry (excl boxin incl fluids)? Does it outweigh the K that much? It is aluminium isn´t it? Some motoring press journos told me it´s block was based on the K. If that holds true however is yet another story?

because it is separated from the front you may have a lot more stability at the rear

    hydragas pressure still at 400/450psi?

your idea of a english speaking forum section would be great but as a lazy old Scotsman i have enjoyed trying to pick through your 'language barrier'.

Well my idea is somewhat as what I have seen on other "exotic language" fora. They have one subsection with "english forum" title. It has only one title. problem is that a lot of interesting stuff goes in there, and then the point of the dutch subsections (i.e. tech subsection) i.e. is of no use.
Making it (albeit) partially English might -no pun intended- flood it with maxpower type posts. As some other forums have experienced. It took them quite some time to get upto a certain level (i.e. mgBBS old days level). And even then they´re still not there. The dutch barrier might have as concequence that only the truely interested pop in here. You see, there´s, I believe, even more than 2 sides on this medal.

i should say that my uncle married a Belgian girl and the lived on Leopold avenue in Brussels. i often went to visit them and her old mother and i could talk some as a lot of Flemish sounding words were similar to old broads Scots.

Well English and Dutch both originated from the old West Germanic language. That might have something to do with it. Althouh this is quite remarkable.

Jupilerman schreefColonwow, that´s what I call "slang". Neat dialect. Is that german gangsta-rap?

LOL, this is a local slang from around Schleswig-Holstein up to East-Frisia (with different spellings etc.) I just don't know how to write it correctly but can speak and understand it a bit.

Talk op platt, dad is ne goode sach. Dad kannsu jo mol als een verzoch werten hihihih ;)

This is really a quite interesting subject IMO. You can spend hours and hours to read many infos about the languages. A good start is the following for example:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-European_languages
    http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Europese_talen
    http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indogermanische_Sprache

Be warned, this is quite addicting when diving further into that subject and cross-clicking links etc. I am a language junkie :D

i will get the weight of the ivtec but i know it is heavier than the 'k'. for example in the k cam cover is plastic type . in the honda it is cast to disperse the engine heat

i have experimended up to 590 psi but it now sits at 525 rear and 465 front this has eliminated nose dive and rear opposite wheel lift.

i agree that there are many sides to any discussion. you must NOT change your good forum if it would mean it loosing quality. to change just to allow posters like me who cannot understand your language is not the best way.
it is up to us to try to communicate with you.
is it possible that a translation system could be found so that interested people could check postings so that they may contribute?. it took me some time to get into your posting and for me i have been rewarded.
you have a validation joining system which stops some 'chavs' unlike the bbs which is not regulated.
so please throw in some english/scottish words sometime and i will try to follow

I am an illetarate in the field of websitedesign (although I had a framepage back in 1996). But I have seen several forums and websites (Dieter koenecke´s I believe) that have a "translation/English button" upon clikcing, I think the site is forwarded to some online translation thing like Babelfish where the URL is automatically pasted.

I think that might be the way to go. It won´t be 100% but you´d at least get a feel whether a thread is interesting or not.

I think this is minor cosmetics to the site for the mods!

    Mods, what do you think?

Nah it's okay. Speaking for me I think I understand 2/3 by reading and the rest is a mixture of repeated reading and translation tool (wordlingo) :D

Never mentioned before but I love the forum like it is now, keep up the good work

Well Herbie has got the advantage his slang is pretty much dutch. If Gerry now got into "old broads Scottish" we don´t need a button at all

seriously though, when visiting the greek MGF/TF forum it´s nice to have an "English" translator button up there somewhere.
