You could always do it with just you driving and follow the car in front

Some of us did it like that last time in 2011, even with a co driver. It does help a lot to navigate through London and it is a very fun trip to do

and this years event is more of a split into small groups and follow your leader (a UK guide) type event I believe, so you should be ok.

EDIT: What about all of us meeting along the way and then go to Dunkirk together? There is a car park with bistro on the E34 direction Antwerp between junctions 21 (Lille) and 20 (Zoersel), from there it's a 2 hour drive to the ferry port. If we meet there at 1pm, have a cup of coffee and then set off half an hour later; we should easily reach the 4 o'clock ferry, arriving at Dover at 5pm UK time.
