As you know, the entries are now closed due to the amount of cars that have entered, thank you as always for supporting this event and "THE DAY". We have 12 cars from Europe and a good selection of MG's, we have 2 TD's, a Midget, an A, several B's, over 50 F's and TF's and a good amount of Z's especially the ZTV8's. Take care on your journey over and I'll see you all on the 6th.

In the meantime Ted (Newman / Treffen) is putting together a trip back home; This will leads us from London to Upnor Castle and the Kentish Downs. Last stop of the day will be the Devils Kneading Trough.

Inderdaad, had Adrian al gepm't hierover en zijn adres gekregen. Wij sluiten zaterdagmiddag aan bij Adrian en zoeken 's avonds na de rit een camping op. De rit zondag door Kent moet ik nog even zien, afhankelijk van camping/brakheid etc. Als we meerijden verlaten we jullie in Folkstone om de boot te pakken naar Duinkerken. Gaat helemaal goed komen zo

Leave the Ibis and a quick drive through the industrial areas to the village of Upnor on the banks of the River Medway where we have negotiated a special entrance fee to the Castle (see http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/days ... or-castle/ ) of £3.50 including a free Audio in French or Dutch (as well as English) then next door to the castle is a typical old English Pub where we can have a typical English Sunday Lunch where lunch prices start at £7.50 -- BUT -- we need to pre-book – we have made a provisional reservation for 10 people (12 will be no problem).

After lunch we will then drive out of the Medway Valley up on to the Kentish Downs where we experience some pretty demanding driving along some extremely narrow but pretty roads HOWEVER not much traffic. Around 4 pm we will stop for afternoon tea at a restaurant over looking a well know beauty spot known as the Devils Kneading Trough (see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/993857 ). It is then about 30 minutes to the Channel Tunnel trains
