Very soon the MGFIM web-site will open for entries, this year we offer an amazing package that is easy for you to use, the entire cost of the event is only £65, this includes all meals Saturday & Sunday and admission to both visits, you only pay for your drinks and hotel. The Essex region of the MGF Register will be with you all weekend to make sure you need nothing, you only have to enjoy yourselves. There are many petrol stations in the area and a few good hand car washes nearby.
Friday 15th May : The early arrivals can go straight to the event hotel, the new Holiday Inn at Southend Airport, where quality is guaranteed in this Stobart owned hotel. We have arranged a special rate that is accessible by a code, this will allow you to chose from one night to four nights with free secure and safe parking, breakfast, wi-fi and all taxes. We will meet with you during the evening where dinner for 75 people is reserved in the rooftop restaurant and bar overlooking Southend Airport.
Saturday 16th May : You will make your way after breakfast to Event HQ in nearby Battlesbridge where your Roadbooks, plaques and name badges etc will be given to you at check-in. You will then take a nice drive through roads that are not busy to a visit that you will enjoy, we have special permission to park our cars inside the complex. You will then drive back to Event HQ for a hot buffet lunch. After lunch you are back on the pretty roads of Essex again until you return to the start for a special evening dinner. During the day there will be several challenges for you, Tulip diagrams will be used so you can drive at your own speed. After dinner, if the weather is fair you will have an evening visit until you return to your hotel for evening drinks and bed.
Sunday 17th May : Once again a short drive to Event HQ for the start of the day’s journey. Today you will be driving further north in the county of Essex among some beautiful buildings and villages, more pleasant roads and a good part of the 2014 Tour de France route. Another visit will leave you amazed. Today you will have a packed lunch delivered to you and then more driving until you return to the start where you will enjoy the final dinner before your return to the hotel or go home. The event will not finish late on Sunday to allow those going home to do so, those going back to the hotel will be able to enjoy drinks there with their friends old and new.
