Chrome door handles

I've recently bought some lovely chrome door handles.
Now the swapping will be a project in the near future when the weather allows me to do this without getting my fingers freezed off

Does anyone know about a how-to, can't seem to be finding a decent one.
If anyone has swapped them I'd be pleased if you can write a few words with hints etc.

TA :)

Many thanks for pushing me into the right direction Carl !
I've browsed the usual suspect sites as well but must have overseen this

For the interested, Dieter gave me some additional details meanwhile:

Both will sort me out I think.

What's wrong with a good old hacksaw :?:
It's for sure the quickest tool to convert a M6x20 screw to an M6x10 screw
Also you need a flat rasp

Ha ! I have a tool shop in my street

This is one of the classic ones where you can still buy single pieces instead of taking the whole 100's package. They have everything I'll need.

Thanks again, will post pics between March - August hehehe

I succesfully fitted them yesterday - finally

Was kinda easy ... you just need small hands and don't need to be afraid of some minor bruises. The doorlock barrel on the driver site doesn't need to be removed, just some rotating technique does the job. Good opportunity to re-grease some areas. No more bling, finito now :)

And you still wonder why some of us try to fix everything with a hammer :?:

Nice one Hebrie !!

How do you feel about the result.

BNext year's modification will be a rear spoiler.... or some chrome mesh, as we still have a TF set

Thanks for the nice comments, looks better in the flesh as my phone cam is quite rubbish.
I am quite pleased but this is really enough now, call me "Chrominator" ;)

I still hear the words from Bruno: "You need a spoiler" .... Nöhöööö  ;)

Just for the record, I followed this how-to on .org:
