Hi all

After a chat with Bruce I thought a quick Hello would be in order

In the UK I offer a mobile service on K-series engines, mainly though the MGF's and TF's

However recently I was requested to come over to the Netherlands as the owners local garage would not quote on the work required, so I though I would offer you all the same service

To give you an idea of what I can do in one very long day, here's the list of work that was completed

Head gasket, replaced with MLS gasket
Head & Block checked and cleaned for re-fitting
Inlet manifold gasket,
Exhaust gasket
Oil
Oil filter
Head bolts
Water Pump
Cambelt
Cambelt tensioner
Upgraded Oil rail
Coolant
replace exhaust manifold with Mike Satur 4-2-1 stainless steel manifold

So long as I cover my costs travel isn't an issue,

Some of you may have seen my cars, either totally factory standard as used in features in MG Enthusiast Magazine and Classic Car Mart, MGF V's MX5

Or my more well known MGF "Rough Luck" the Nitrous Oxide Injected fully modified car

If I can help I will, but please remember the only language I speak is english

Hi John,

Last year we met on MG live, and I've saw you're amazing car that week-end. Bruce told me that you started your own business, so when you registered yourself here, I thought I was knowing the name  , so I've activated your account.
I know also that you did the some work on Herbie's car, some weeks ago, so you see, even I'm not on Facebook, I know everything because of Bruce is telling me whats new there

I wish you a warm welcome on MGF.BE !

G'day Jon,

Welcome,

Might be an idea to make a list of the kind of work you do on a regular basis,
I know you have experience in fitting AP's, disks, pads, things like that.
Rebuilding engines with broken pistons,
I think you have emerald programming experience?
You ported and flowed your own head? (the car I mean)

Bruno, slight correction, it was Russell an other legend in the UK who did the work on Herb's car..
(Oooo it is really about time for you to join Facebook :-)

Hi, welcome

I must have some pics online, somewhere. These are the ones Bruno got online from MGLive 2010: http://www.mgf-tf.com/gallery2/v/events ... ?g2_page=3 (somwhere down the middle)

I do "know" you from .org, but on what other forums are you busy ?

Good luck with your business.

Erik

Thanks for the help with the pics and woow those back discs did look small with 18" wheels, I've now made some 280mm rear brakes

I'm on MG-Rover.org as Jon Norris
The T-bar as Rough Luck
and I have a Facebook group Rough Luck Racing

My website is still being worked on though

280 rear brakes?

Are these the Ford Focus disks, with a bracket to fit your standard brake calipers?

Yeah they have been fitted about a year now and have been great, rear braking is a lot better,

240mm discs give about 140kg of braking force

280mm give about 210kg

Also since those pics the rear active spoiler is working now an helps at very high speed, the spoiler blade can rise on a manual button or auto that comes up under braking and G-force then lowers on its own

the video was the first test at Goodwood

there are a couple of us here that want to upgrade to 280 rear disks.

Sander bought his of someone on Ebay that offered the full kit but he stopped making these.

Do you have a kit for sale or maybe a "how to"?
